Bringing Colorado Home
Colorado has been doing this to people for a long time — pulling them in, making them set a 3am alarm,
making them drive two hours on a maybe. I'm one of those people. Have been for 15 years.
My name is Simon Prine, and I photograph Colorado. Landscapes, wildlife, fourteeners, ghost towns,
alpine lakes at sunrise, rock formations that turn gold for about eight minutes every morning if you know
where to stand and you actually show up.
I go out there because it's impossible not to. This state is that good. And every time I come back with
something — an image that made me stop and hold my breath a little — I want other people to see it too.
That's the whole point. Colorado is too good to keep to yourself.
Colorado is too good to keep to yourself.
That's what this is. The version of Colorado most people drive past, brought home for the people who love
it as much as I do.
Every image was taken on location.
I went out and got the shot — that part still matters.
Prints available online and at art festivals around Colorado.
